Do you know the benefits of Vape Pods?

Vape pods are a popular type of vaping that uses, perhaps unsurprisingly, a pod rather than a vape tank. The tank is part of an e-cigarette that holds the liquid, allowing it to soak into the wick and make contact with the coil. As such, it works as a storage device for the e-liquid and ensures that you have a smooth vaping experience. But, recently, people have moved away from tanks and towards pods, slightly shifting the dynamic of vaping. So, what’s the difference between a tank and a pod?

What is a Vape Pod?
A vape pod is similar in many ways to a tank, it certainly does the same job (holding the coil and the e-liquid). But instead of being refillable, pods are completely sealed and many of them have non-replaceable coils. They are the ‘plug and play’ of the vaping world, requiring no preparation before vaping.

Pods were originally designed to help those moving from smoking to vaping, which is why they’re so simple and quick to use. However, these days they have developed and there are a variety of pod devices to choose from, though the convenience of them has stayed very much the same.

Advantages of Vape Pods

  • Super Convenient

As we mentioned above, pods are ridiculously convenient. The cartridges are like small bottles of liquid that you can just pop into your device. This means that you don’t have to worry about filling them or switching them around. You can just carry them with you and pop them in when you need them. They also come in many different flavors, making it easy for you to change them without worrying about mixing your flavors in a tank.

  • Offer a Stronger Nicotine Hit

If you’re looking to switch over to vaping from smoking, then it’s important that you get the nicotine balance correct. If you get it wrong then you’ll quickly find yourself returning to smoking for the sake of the nicotine hit. Pods often provide a better hit than tanks, because they use nic salts to deliver the nicotine without compromising the flavor. This means that they will offer more relief than traditional tanks, helping you to stay away from cigarettes for longer.

Disadvantages of Choosing Pods

  • Less Choice

Because the pods come pre-filled, there are not as many choices compared to a traditional vaping tank. Most vape pods will only work with their own device and this can restrict your choice of flavours.

  • Have a Shorter Battery Life

Not everything about pods is convenient. If you’re looking for longevity, then you’ll definitely want to look for a refillable vape kit, which will give you days of power before it needs recharging compared to pods. On the other hand, most pod mods will only give you a few hours of use on a full charge. This means that they are handy for a quick fix but not great if you constantly find yourself on the go or if you use your vape pods often.

What is a Vape Tank?

A vape tank is a threaded attachment that allows a vaping device to vaporize e-liquid. Vape tanks are typically fairly large and often have capacities of 2 ml and higher. Vape tanks may have glass or plastic enclosures, and they’ll usually have metal hardware. In most cases, a vape tank is a semi-permanent piece of equipment. When the tank’s flavor quality is no longer acceptable, you can remove and replace the atomizer coil while continuing the use the tank. If you keep a vape tank clean and take care of it, there’s no reason why you can’t continue using the tank as long as coils are still being made for it. Disposable vape tanks are also available.

Advantages of Vape Tank

  • Replaceable Parts

Vape tanks are great because of their replaceable parts. Many of them allow you to replace the glass, drip tip, rubber sealing, and bottom part that screws into the mod. This means that a tank can last you a very long time.

  • More Customisable

It’s not just the different coils and mouthpieces that you can use that make vape tanks cool. They also facilitate building your own RDA coils. You get the coil (wire), Japanese cotton, etc., and build your atomizer from them. While this is a fringe practice, it does save a lot of money. It’s a lot more sustainable too.

Disadvantages of Choosing Tanks

  • More Likely to Leak

Because they are more complex and use more replaceable parts, tanks are more likely to leak. Good tank maintenance should keep your pocket and hands dry, but there are a number of little things that can go wrong.

  • Less Portable

Tanks, and the mods they attach to, are generally a bit heavier than their pod counterparts. They also tend to be a bit more cumbersome. Of course, there is plenty of variety within these different types of hardware, but on average, tanks are bulkier in the pocket.
